A Conference Celebrating the truth, beauty, and goodness of the King and Kingdom

We live in a culture that views Christianity with disdain. Christian ethics concerning marriage, sexuality, modesty, family, and work are viewed as repressive and ugly. Christian views of origins and climate are seen as anti-intellectual and misinformation. Christian doctrine of sin and atonement are ridiculed as arcane and grotesque. Modern man believes he has moved beyond the need for Christianity and its world and life view.

In this humanist “brave new world” apart from Christ, the government will be your nursing mother from the cradle to the grave. Technology and therapy will be the tools of transformation and liberation. Women will be emancipated from their oppression. The family will be no more. Individuals will re-create themselves into their own internal likeness. An egalitarian utopia will be realized!

However, as our culture moves away from Christ, we are not progressing but regressing. The darkness is getting darker as we move from the light. Many are looking for a new and better way. This conference reveals THE Way. This conference will proclaim the truth, goodness, and beauty of the King, Jesus Christ, and his Kingdom.

This conference is themed after Psalm 96 which calls us to “Declare his glory among the nations” (v. 3). It commands us to “Say among the nations, ‘The LORD reigns!’” (v. 10). It reminds us that “splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary” and to “worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!” (v. 6,9).

Therefore, we will hear preaching vindicating the truth, beauty, and goodness of Jesus Christ and his kingdom. We will declare to the nations that our Christ reigns and this is good news!

The conference is taking place at the Winsport Event Centre (Markin MacPhail Centre) located at 151 Canada Olympic Rd SW, Calgary, AB T3B 5R5.
